What can my customers see?

  • Updated

The Customer Report provides transparency by mirroring the aggregated data shared with your customers. It outlines your progress in sustainability metrics and estimated savings from your Reduction Plan, without revealing sensitive internal data or financial figures. This tool helps you track your achievements against your customers' targets and focus your reduction efforts effectively.

What data do we share?

The only data we share is an aggregated version of the data metrics that your customer(s) have requested and an aggregated version of the estimated savings from your Reduction Plan. As you will see in this report, we never share:

  • Your Production Output figure
  • Your % attributable allocation
  • Your Scope 3 good/service amount supplied
  • Any other customers that you have selected
  • Any financial data that you have entered as savings
  • Extra reporting metrics that you have added yourself

For this report to be fully functional, you need to have:

  • Completed your Customer Selection
  • Completed your Measurements submission
  • Populated your Reduction Plan with actions complete with target dates and estimated savings

How to interpret your Customer Report

Starting at the top of the page, you can first select which customer’s report you would like to see with the dropdown menu on the left. You can then see exactly how much of your footprint and savings have been allocated to each one.

Supplier target status Metrics Performance

This will show you your progress against any targets that your customer has set. These targets can cover different metrics and be either Intensity or Absolute reduction targets. If you aren’t on track for an area such as Water or CO2e according to the reports, you may want to focus your reduction efforts on that area in the Reduction Plan going forward.

Please note, that not every customer has targets on the platform.

Data submissions

Here, you (and your customer) can see your annual data submission status. The three options are:

  • Green: Requested submission complete
  • Orange: Requested submission partially complete
  • Inactive: Customer not selected for this year

This is where your customer can see an aggregated version of the data that they have requested, with a structure and key akin to your Resource Reduction Pathway report. It includes data from your Measurements and Reduction Plan.

  • The blue-green bars show your CO2e footprint that has been allocated to your customer
  • The green bars represent completed action savings
  • The orange bars show your in-progress action savings
  • The pale blue bars represent your shortlisted action savings
  • Based on these, the grey bars predict your future footprint over time

This is a crucial way to demonstrate your decarbonization plans and commitment to helping your customer(s) achieve their decarbonization goals.

Key differences between the Customer Report and your internal Resource Reduction Pathway report:

  • Savings are less granular for your customer’s report, they only see the year the Action was or will be completed, not the completed date or target date
  • The estimated savings data is aggregated for your customers
  • Your customers will only see the data that they have requested, not all the data you have submitted

This shares a high-level breakdown of your Reduction Plan progress, highlighting: the number of projects you have in each stage, the focus areas you are making savings in, and aggregated (and allocated) estimated reductions.

Your customers can also see the title of your actions and target dates. However, we never share any financial savings or CapEx/OpEx figures you might have entered into your Reduction Plan.

This is the perfect way to showcase your decarbonization achievements and target-hitting progress.
